About Me

Croeso, welcome to the home of stunning unique homeware, artwork and gifts for all occasions. Designed and created to celebrate all things Welsh. 

I am the founder of Angharad Banks; my designs are inspired by my passion for the countryside and nature, that, I see around me here in the heart of South Wales. 

My products are created using stunning, high quality fabrics and are sewn solely by my own hand. I pride myself on the attention to detail of each product I create. I hope that any purchase will be the perfect addition to your home for many years to come.

Orders, Delivery & Returns

Ordering

  • My products are all handmade and unique, therefore, there may be  some variations in colour, size and finish.
  • The appearance of colour and size may vary on different computer screens, so if you need further advice re: colour matching/ sizes etc. before ordering please contact me.
  • In the event that you are unable to add a product to the basket, as it is 'out of stock' please contact me. I will inform you when this product has been re-stocked.
  • If you purchase more than one item, your shipping costs will be combined  automatically at the checkout.
  •  All debit/credit card/PayPal payments are securely processed by Shopify Payments. At no time is card data stored or handled for any orders placed online using my website.

Delivery

U.K. Delivery:-

  • All items will be shipped using Royal Mail, First Class, Signed for delivery service.
  • All items will be shipped within 7-10 business days, unless otherwise stated.
  • If you need your item in a hurry, I will endeavour to assist you with this.
  • If you need a special postal arrangement, such as, Next Day Delivery, please let me know and I will inform you of any additional costs.
  • For all commission/bespoke items shipping may take longer, this will be relayed to you at the time of ordering.

 International Delivery:-

  • At present, due to Covid 19, all international deliveries have been suspended. This information will be updated when this decision has been reversed.
  • Please be aware that the buyer is fully responsible for any custom charges that may be applicable.
  • Delivery times are dependent upon many factors and therefore cannot be guaranteed.

Delivery Information

  • Items are dispatched on Fridays.
  • All items are shipped wrapped for their protection, using a bubble wrapped envelope or plastic mailing bag. 
  • I only ship to the address registered to your card or PayPal account. Please check that your address is completely up to date. If you need other shipping arrangements please contact me ahead of time.
  • Royal Mail is used for all items at present.
  • Items are delivered according to Royal Mail, First Class, Signed for policy.
  • Any questions regarding your order or the delivery, please contact me using the Contact Me page or email me at angharadbanks@gmail.com. Please quote the order reference and I will contact you as soon as possible.

Returns

  • I do everything that I can to ensure that all my products reach you promptly, safely and securely. I pride myself on the quality of my products, however, I understand that there may be times when you wish to return an item to Angharad Banks.
  • A return may be granted if, there is proof of purchase, it is returned by the original buyer, in a saleable condition in the original packaging
  • Return requests must be made using the Request a Refund page, within 14 days of receipt of your item. Please include photographs of the item you wish to return in the correspondence.
  • Please be aware that any bespoke or personalised items are non-refundable.

Return Requests

  • To request a return you must notify me strictly within 14 days of the receipt of the item. You will receive instructions about the next steps. 
  • Any requests for refunds outside the 14 day timescale will not be granted.
  • If the item is not received in the above timescale unfortunately an exchange or refund will not be issued.
  • As Angharad Banks is a small business, I am unable to refund return shipping costs.
  • When returning goods it is advisable to send via a Signed For service as Angharad Banks cannot be held responsible for non-receipt of the returned order and a refund cannot be issued. An email will be sent to you once the return has been received.
  • If you are granted a refund, the funds will be returned to you via the method of the original payment.
  • In the event that your order arrives in a damaged or faulty condition, please let me know as soon as possible so that a speedy solution can be found. If this instance return costs will be reimbursed.

FAQ

Why haven't I received my order?

At present all orders are dispatched using Royal Mail First Class Signed For delivery. Covid 19 is affecting the speed of delivery in some areas, so deliveries may be delayed.  You will receive an e-mail when your order is dispatched which will contain a tracking number. You will be able to use this number to track your parcel's journey to you. Here is a link to Royal Mail's tracking page. If your parcel has still not arrived, then please e-mail me or use the Contact Me page to let me know. Please include the order number.

Do you have a shop?

At present I don't have a 'bricks and mortar ' shop. However, I usually attend a number of events, fairs and festivals throughout the year especially in my local area.Such as, the Caerphilly Big Cheese  and the highlight of my year the Ystrad Mynach Christmas Fayre.I am proud to be a Welsh business owner, who creates and promotes Welsh design and encourages people to shop with independent and local businesses. Is your shop open?

Due to Covid 19 I am currently operating as an online business. I have instigated Covid 19 safety measures to minimise any risks. You may wish to read more about these measures by following this link. There is a possibility that the Christmas Markets that I usually attend may be taking place. I will be spending time working on how Angharad Banks could operate with as little risk as possible in the intervening months.

Where are you based?

Angharad Banks is based in Ystrad Mynach a town in the heart of the South Wales valleys. It is 5 miles north of Caerphilly which boasts an historic, concentric castle built in the 13th century. Before the advent of coal mining this area was rural and farmland.

Do you make all your own products?

All my products are made by myself in my studio, either by hand or using my trusty and growing sewing machine family. I prefer to make my designs in small numbers in a variety of ever changing fabrics. It's important to me that my customers are able to have a piece of hand-produced Welsh design in their homes, rather than making masses of easily produced products. This means that my collections are ever- changing and developing and there is always something fresh.

How do I join the Newsletter?

 To join our Newsletter all you need to do is add your e-mail address to the section at the bottom of the Home page. A discount code will be sent out to you when you join.

Do you have a customer service desk?

I am a one woman business but you can always contact me via e-mail at  angharadbanks@gmail.com or by using the Contact Me page and I will respond as soon as possible.

Do you offer gift wrapping?

All items are sent gift wrapped in either clear or patterned cellophane with a jute bow. You are able to change the delivery address to the recipient by adding these details when checking out. You are able to add a personalised note by  putting your message in the Notes box on the checkout page.

Do you accept cancellations?

If you need to cancel your order please contact me as soon as possible. Please use the Contact Me page to request a cancellation, include your order number and the reason for the cancellation.I will contact you to discuss the circumstances and whether an exchange or refund would be most appropriate. Cancellations will only be possible if I am notified prior to dispatch.

How secure will my payment be?

Payments by card are securely processed by Shopify payments. Payments via PayPal are processed by PayPal. Angharad Banks does not store any details or card data for online orders.

Why are items marked as out of stock?

My philosophy is not to mass produce a high number of the same items. Fabrics change frequently, so that the collections remain fresh. Many items are made to order. If an item is out of stock then please e-mail me to register your interest and I will notify you when it has been re-stocked.  If you need an alternative colour, fabric or size contact me and we may be able to create a bespoke item together.
